Check that your iPhone's silent switch is off and the volume is up. Playback does not require microphone access — that permission is only used when you choose to record yourself.
The microphone is used only when you tap record, so you can capture yourself playing over the compás. Recordings are saved on your device and are never uploaded. You can grant or revoke access any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → Palo Studio.
All recordings live on your device and appear in the Recordings tab. They are not synced to any server. Deleting the app removes them permanently.
Yes. The compás engine, technique drills and recording all work fully offline — no account or internet connection required.
The compás engine covers palos including Soleá, Alegrías, Bulerías, Tangos and Sevillanas, each with authentic accents and tempo ranges. The Technique Lab includes picado, rasgueado, arpegio, arpegio doble, tremolo, alzapúa and pulgar drills. We're adding more over time.
